Maple Spiced Mulled Cider

I love the flavours of mulled drinks and spiced mulled cider is the perfect hot alcoholic beverage. As soon as the cold weather hits I can’t wait to get some mulled cider or wine cooking on the hob. It’s a great way to start getting in the festive spirit too!

It’s full of spices like cinnamon, star anise and cloves and I have used maple syrup to sweeten. This mulled cider recipe couldn’t be easier. Everything gets thrown in a pan and left to heat and stew for about 20 minutes.

  • 4.Optional - Add in 2 shots of spiced rum or other spirit.
  • 5.Serve and drink straight away or leave on a low heat with a lid on.
